* LA Kings have talked to NY Rangers about Rick Nash, but according to my sources it was a quick conversation so far... The Rangers asked for Gabe Vilardi and Blake said, "No."

Sabres just said Reinhart will not be traded. So put the Flyers rumor to bed. |

I hope the Bolts do get Karlson, that would be the best thing that could happen to the Leafs. |

Myers, Morin, or Sanheim for Pouliot and a third? Perhaps? Sabres need Defense, and Flyers need bottom 6 scoring. I could see something along those lines.

It's not going to happen, but to go further down the Karlsson to Tampa pipe dream ....
If Karlsson were to end up in Tampa, who do you put on the top pairing?
Do you leave Hedman and Stralman intact on the top pair? If so, that relegates Karlsson to the 2nd pairing - and he will be making far too much money for a second pairing role.
Do you bump Hedman to the 2nd pairing? Hedman is arguably as good as Karlsson, so again, you end up with a top-pair guy on the 2nd pair. Not a terrible dilemma I guess.
Or, do you pair them together and make a dynamic Nordic duo of destruction and woe?
The implications are dizzying, but it's all fantasy to consider it. The Lightning would have to give up too much to acquire him and then they would end up in cap-hell.

You pair them however you want. And you wind up with two 1st pairing lines, can't be a bad thing. If it brings them a cup then cap hell is worth while |

If you were ever going to trade Vilardi, you would be better with Pacioretty anyway. Younger player, better goals/season average for the last couple years, better cap hit, signed for another year ... - Popofjc
Says the habs fan....pac is avg at best dude wake up |
